About
I am a director, theatre maker and producer who has been working in the industry for 18 years.
I recently co-directed The Trials By Dawn King for Nottingham Playhouse. ★★★★★“An utterly gripping and powerful production” (East Midlands Theatre)
In 2022 directed the critically acclaimed SHEWOLVES by Sarah Middleton which did a national tour, Edinburgh Fringe and 3 week run at Southwark Playhouse. It was published by Samuel French and the pilot of a TV version reached the top 5% of the BBC Comedy Collective. We are currently developing a new show, Skin and Blister a thriller about female relationship to risk and what we’ll do for freedom.
“Laughs are plentiful, and the whip-smart direction of Hannah Stone ensures the audience is drawn into their exhilarating miniature quest for climate justice” (Broadway World on SHEWOLVES)
I am also Co-Artistic director of Rebel Sparks (Formerly The Gramophones) which we founded in 2011. The Company have created and toured numerous shows, most recently Aidy the Awesome about a Grandmother and Granddaughter super-hero duo which was commissioned by Leicester Curve and supported by Arts Council England.
I directed Pinocchio by Sarah Middleton in 2019 for Nottingham Playhouse which transferred to The Mercury Colchester in 2022 and Goldilocks and the Three Bears by Anna Wheatley in 2022 for the Nottingham Playhouse.
I was an Associate Artist at Nottingham Playhouse for 3 years where I read scripts on their behalf and was on the ideas submission panel and a reader for the Phoebe Francis Brown Award.
I have a particular interest in female led narratives and magical theatre that reaches out into the audience way past the fourth wall.
I am currently looking for scripts to develop that are written by women and non-binary people so please email me if you have something you’d like me to read.
